Caricature at opening Event

Last weekend I drew people at the opening of the magnificent Beauty Rooms in Ashby!
As well as plenty of the guests, I was asked to do a group caricature of the staff. Getting everyone sat together like that is technically quite a tricky thing to pull off, even without the pressure of a crowd watching. There's no pencil work involved; it's straight in with pen. I rewarded myself with a congratulatory glass of champagne.. It's A3, and took maybe 25 minutes.

I was also caricatured by the salon owner in return! (No, I wasn't burning; it's the pattern on my floral shirt.)

When a wedding party walks into a hotel bar full of cartoonists, the result was probably inevitable. After being passed a pad and pen, here's a brief slideshow of what ensued..
